When The Inner Critic Shows Up

Nothing gets done!

How often does that little niggly voice show up that keeps telling you, I’m not good enough, smart enough, wise enough, and many others I don’t even want to repeat?

From the artists perspective

Imagine you've created this incredible work of art for a loved one and you've put great care into every detail. One day you over hear that person saying detestable things about this gift you personally created for them. How might you feel or respond?

Now imagine it from God's perspective, who created you in his image. How he  must feel every time you say negative things about yourself. You are the model that is fully loaded, equipped and capable of overcoming the toughest challenges. Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." He intended for us to prosper and he tells us that in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

What would life be like, if you loved yourself as much as God loves you?

Getting to the prosperous part

You've got this, when that niggly voice starts nagging you don't let it stop you from pursuing your goals, take time to question them and challenge their validity. Though it is not always easy, you can learn (with practice) to change how you respond.
