Developing Inner Wealth
Managing your ADHD can be heavy, many encounter bouts of self-doubt, self-defeating beliefs, depression, and just feel defeated. If that describes you, discover a new appreciative way to live that is uplifting and encouraging that gives you a reason to get out of bed every day.
What would life be like, if we spent more time noticing what's going right?
Imagine what it would be like to…
In the 1980s, David Cooperrider, professor at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, developed a new model for organizational development and change which he termed “appreciative inquiry.” Appreciation has to do with both recognition and enhancing value. It is about affirming past and present strengths, assets, and potentials. Inquiry refers to both exploration and discovery. It is about asking questions, study, and learning.
Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a positive way to embrace organizational change based on a simple assumption: Every organization has something that works right—things that give life when it most alive, effective, successful, and connected in healthy ways to its stakeholders and communities. AI begins by identifying what is positive and connecting to it in ways that heighten energy and vision for change.
Appreciative Living is a taste of (AI) that focuses on the individual experience. It is based on the same five original Appreciative Principles: Constructionist, Simultaneity, Anticipatory, Poetic, and Awareness. It expands our capacity to be more positive, respond from a neutral (observer) position to ask strategic questions that create a 360 degree perspective . . . through coaching, cycles of reflection and personal action participants gain confidence to engage with people in meaningful ways, to create and sustain life-affirming relationships and success in daily life, no matter what role they are stepping into. It is NOT about ignoring or denying reality. It is about learning to see the good things that truly exist right alongside the bad.
